Everton won 2-0 against Huddersfield at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Everton defeated Huddersfield 2-0 in Sam Allardyce’s first game in charge at Goodison Park on Saturday.
The former Sunderland manager was appointed on an 18-month contract on Thursday. In his first game, Everton put up a strong effort, although they were short of quality at times.

After a stalemate opening 45 minutes, Gylfi Sigurdsson gave the home side the lead after a nice exchange of passes with Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
The England youth forward was simply outstanding throughout the game, and added a deserved goal after he picked up a lovely pass from Wayne Rooney.
Everton have registered back to back Premier League wins, with the Toffees defeating West Ham 4-0 in the midweek.

Former Everton player Kevin Campbell took to social networking site Twitter to share his reaction after the match.
Everton took a while to get going, but Allardyce’s side looked solid at the back. They managed only 47% of ball possession, and had only four shots on target throughout the game.
The Toffees fans quickly responded to his tweet – here are some of the selected tweets:
