Everton snapped up the ex-QPR man on Friday night.

Everton announced the signing of Josh Bowler on Friday evening.

The 18-year-old joins Everton a three-year contract from Queens Park Rangers, with Sky Sports reporting that he signed on for £4.25 million all in all.

He is Ronald Koeman’s seventh summer signing, following Jordan Pickford, Davy Klaassen, Henry Onyekuru, Sandro Ramirez, Michael Keane and Boris Mathis to Merseyside.

Bowler, who can also play on both wings, is obviously a big talent, and Everton legend Kevin Campbell is delighted to see his old club snap up the teenager.

With such a fine transfer window which has exceded the £100 million mark, Everton simply must launch a serious assault on the Champions League spots next season.

The Dutch manager could only manage a seventh-placed finish in the Premier League finish last time around – and that was with red-hot hitman Romelu Lukaku, who seems to be on the move – so anything less than a big improvement could see Koeman part company with the Toffees.
