Everton were beaten 2-1 by the Blues at Stamford Bridge, but there was plenty of to be positive about.

The Toffees showed a big improvement on recent weeks during the contest, with their display actually earning them some credit.

The Toffees had their chances in the contest, but Chelsea’s quality eventually shone through.

Antonio Rudiger and Willian both scored for the London side, before Dominic Calvert-Lewin bagged a late consolation.

Although Everton were unable to pick up their first victory in six matches at Stamford Bridge, Campbell was still impressed by his former side’s display.

Everton are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Leicester City in Premier League action, desperately needing three points to kick start their campaign.
