Donachie has rejoined Everton as the club’s Head of Therapy services.
Former Everton captain Kevin Campbell has reacted on Twitter after the Toffees brought back Dan Donachie from Aston Villa to become the club’s head of therapy services.
Donachie was previously Everton’s Head of Medicine prior to his departure from the Club in 2014. Son of former Everton assistant manager Willie Donachie, Dan has now returned to Goodison Park for a second stint.
Everton confirmed the news on their official website, with new manager Marco Silva bringing the Scot in from Championship giants Villa, where he was head of medicine and sports science.
Campbell reacted to the news on Twitter by underlining his delight that Everton had brought Donachie back to the club, and now wants the Toffees to lure former director of communications Alan Myers back to Goodison Park – who left in 2014.
Silva and new director of football Marcel Brands have already shaken up the Portuguese man’s backroom staff, with coach Fran Alonso confirming his departure last week on Twitter.
Bruno Mendes has also come in from Benfica as Everton’s new head of performance, which will see him work alongside Duncan Ferguson and new Portuguese coaches João Pedro Sousa, Pedro Conceição and Hugo Olivieira.
Everton begin their Premier League campaign in a month’s time, as they travel to newly-promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers before facing Southampton, Bournemouth and Huddersfield.
