Everton may have failed to win against Wolverhampton Wanderers away from home at the Molineux Stadium last weekend, but Marco Silva’s side had no major problem in getting the better of Southampton on Saturday.

Marco Silva’s side picked up their first win of the Premier League season, as they won 2-1 against Southampton at home.

Theo Walcott and Richarlison scored the goals for the Toffees at Goodison Park in the first half, while Liverpool-owned forward Danny Ings found the net for the Saints in the second period.

Steven Pienaar was following the match, and the former Everton star was pleased with the win for the Merseyside outfit.

The former South Africa international has praised Richarlison for his start at Everton, with the summer singing from Watford having scored twice against Wolves last weekend.

Kevin Campbell was pleased to see his former club Everton win on Saturday as well, and the ex-striker has picked Gylfi Sigurdsson as the best player on the pitch.

The 28-year-old Iceland international attacking midfield was superb for Silva’s team and created a number of chances.
