Widespread reports claim that the Spaniard has joined Everton.

Kevin Campbell has told Everton new boy Sandro Ramirez to wear the number nine jersey with pride.

According to Sky Sports, the Toffees have sealed a £5.25 million move for the Malaga forward, who came through the ranks at Barcelona but was released from the Camp Nou side last year.

He is Everton’s fourth signing of what has been an excellent window, and the second striker to join Ronald Koeman’s side after Henry Onyekuru – who will be loaned straight to Anderlecht – joined from Belgian outfit Eupen last week.

Sky Sports News presenter Jim White claimed on Twitter that Sandro will wear the number nine shirt on Merseyside, and Campbell, a previous owner of that number during his six-year spell at Goodison Park, has told the Spanish marksman to wear it with pride.

In addition to Onyekuru, Sandro, who scored 14 times in 30 Primera Division outings for Malaga last season, also follows Jordan Pickford and Davy Klaassen to Goodison Park in a spending spree which is close to the £70 million mark – and could reach nine figures in the coming days.

The Telegraph reported on the weekend that Burnley defender Michael Keane is poised to complete a £31 million switch to Everton shortly.
