Kevin Campbell says that Everton manager Ronald Koeman is in trouble.

Former Everton player Kevin Campbell said on social networking site Twitter that Ronald Koeman “is in trouble” and the Dutchman could face the chop if the current situation does not improve.

Campbell adds that he is willing to give the former Southampton manager “a little time” to turn things around. However, in another tweet, he says that if indeed Koeman gets the boot, the appointment of the next manager will become very crucial for the club.

Everton have spent heavily this summer but the results have been hugely disappointing. New signings have struggled to make an impact, while senior players have been below par.

The Toffees have won just once in the Premier League since August. They have won just once in their last seven Premier League games, and find themselves languishing in 16th position in the league table.

What has really frustrated the fans is Everton’s lackadaisical display in their recent games so far. The team has looked flat in recent games, as if there is a lack of motivation amongst the players.

Everton need to win games to get the confidence back in the side. And if the results do not improve quickly, then Koeman must go.
