Kevin Campbell has claimed that Leeds United will get relegated alongside Southampton and Bournemouth, whilst he feels Everton and Nottingham Forest will stay up.

The former Everton striker is backing Sean Dyche to do the business during the last few weeks of the season, whilst he wants Nottingham Forest to stay in the Premier League, and whilst he agreed ‘it will be tight’, it’s bad news for Javi Gracia at Leeds.

Near-on every manager in this nine-way battle to survive the drop to the dreaded Championship has sacked their manager, for some, they have done it more than once.

Nottingham Forest have been one of those clubs that have decided against that call, although, the club did recently release a statement backing Steve Cooper amid rumours that he was going to go.

Either way, when Kevin Campbell was asked to name his teams that will drop when the final ball is kicked in May, he had bad news for Leeds, Southampton and Bournemouth fans, as he told the Football Show on Sky Sports (13/04/23).

“It keeps changing for me, it changes so many times,” said Campbell. “I think Southampton are going to struggle now. They have had their great results, but they still find themselves bottom.

“Bournemouth, I am not convinced they are going to stay there. I have got Forest down there as well, I want them to stay up. I want Everton to stay up, obviously, so I have to say, Leeds. It’s going to be tight.”

LAST DAY OF THE SEASON

That’s the day you want to avoid because if you leave until the last day, then you are leaving everything up for chance.

Everton, then under the stewardship of Frank Lampard, avoided the final-day drama when they survived last season, but for Leeds, they had to go to Brentford and get something.

On the last day of the campaign, Leeds will host Tottenham Hotspur, whilst Everton will welcome Bournemouth to Goodison Park. The latter could be one of those crazy games that, if you lose, then you are down.
