Allardyce signed an 18-month contract at Everton in late 2017.

Former striker Kevin Campbell does not believe Sam Allardyce is the answer for Everton.
Allardyce has taken Everton from 13th to ninth in the Premier League since his appointment at the end of November.
However, the former England manager has recorded as many league defeats [five] as he has wins in that time, as well as four draws, and the team’s performances have left many Evertonians unconvinced.
Speaking to Talksport on Tuesday morning, Campbell shared a similar opinion, and stated his belief that Allardyce will be moved on in the summer – a year earlier than planned.

“Well I anticipate a change,” said the 48-year-old, who spent six years on Everton’s books and continues to be revered by the Goodison Park faithful.
“Everton were in such a difficult spot when Big Sam took the job. He’s done his job, he’s stuck to his side of the bargain by stabilising the club.
“But with the furore what happened with new money coming in, investment going into the squad, the Evertonians were upbeat. It hasn’t quite worked out how they wanted to but, again, if they win against Burnley on Saturday they’re joint-seventh.
“Would you have taken that before the season? Of course you would. But the Evertonians know, look, it’s time to start putting down a foundation and for me I don’t think Big Sam’s the answer, I’ve got to say.”

Everton are understood to have pursued several managers before turning to Allardyce, including the then Watford boss Marco Silva.
And Silva – whose subsequent sacking was blamed on the Toffees’ interest – would now be free to take over should Allardyce leave his post.
