Will Tottenham Hotspur’s new signing Tanguy Ndombele be playing alongside Christian Eriksen ahead of the new Premier League campaign?

Sky Sports pundit Kevin Campbell has warned Tottenham’s new signing Tanguy Ndomebele about how tough it is to play in the Premier League compared to playing against teams such as ‘Inter Milan’.

Midfielder Ndomebele signed for Spurs earlier on in the summer, but he arrived from Lyon, who play in France’s top-tier, so it just proves how wrong Campbell was to mention the Italian club.

Campbell’s comments will no doubt annoy the Tottenham faithful because it shows a lack of knowledge from the former Everton and Arsenal striker about the player in question.

Speaking to Football Centre on Sky Sports News (05/08/2019 at 11:25 am), Campbell also shared his thoughts on Eriksen, who has been linked with a move away from the club.

“I think they are very good,” Campbell told Sky Sports. “There have been very good signings. The midfielder [on Tanguy Ndombele], I really like him. I think he’s a really good player.

“But again, will it take him time to adjust? The Premier League is different to playing against Inter Milan. The Premier League is relentless and tough.

On Eriksen: “He’s still a key player for Tottenham. When the English window closes, the European window is still open, so that bit of business might still happen. Whilst he is a Tottenham player, he is a top, top player.”

The Telegraph previously that Spurs are fearful of losing Eriksen for less than £50 million if he’s not sold by Thursday’s cut-off point.

Whilst Premier League clubs can no longer do any deals after Thursday at 5 pm, other European clubs can purchase players, which leaves Spurs at risk at losing one of their prized asset for less than they would perhaps want to sell him for.

Either way, new signing Ndombele will be keen for Eriksen to stay because the duo would no doubt complement one another in the middle of the park.
