Why?
Because Kepa has a reputation of making mistakes and is not as reliable as Mendy.
Kepa – who cost Chelsea £71 million in transfer fees in August 2018, as reported by BBC Sport at the time – made a number of mistakes in 2019-20, which is why the Blues went out and signed Mendy from Rennes in the summer of 2020.
