Martin Keown has raved about Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney on BT Sport.
The Arsenal legend, who now works as a pundit for BT Sport, has praised Tierney for his performances for Arsenal.
The Englishman has disclosed what he has been told about the 23-year-old left-back in training, stating that he tackles hard in sessions.
Keown said about Tierney on BT Sport: “He is a throwback. They tell me in training they have to tell him to calm down because he is tackling ferociously. I really like that, though, the attitude that he brings.”
Important player for Arsenal
Tierney joined Arsenal from Celtic in the summer of 2019 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £25 million.
The Scotland international had injury and fitness issues in the opening months of last season, but the youngster showed his class and quality in the second half of the campaign.
The 23-year-old has been very good for the Gunners so far this season and has been a bright spark for the North London club.
The left-back, who scored a superb goal against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday evening, has the potential to become the best left-back in the Premier League.
Tierney is good defensively and in attack, and given that he is only 23 years of age, he can certainly grow and develop even further.
