Arsenal travel to the King Power Stadium to take on Leicester City in the Premier League next weekend.

Former England defender Martin Keown told the BBC that Leicester City are the favourites going into their game against Arsenal on Saturday.

Brendan Rodgers’ side have got off to an incredible start in the Premier League winning seven of their first 11 games. The Foxes are third in the table and are just two points behind defending champions Manchester City.

Arsenal, on the other hand, have been poor in recent weeks. The Gunners have won just four of their opening 11 games and are lucky to still be fifth in the league table. Unai Emery is under enormous pressure from fans and a defeat against Leicester City this weekend could well cost him his job as Gunners boss.

Speaking about the exciting fixture at the King Power, former Arsenal defender Martin Keown said: “I make the Foxes massive favourites going into that game – in terms of form, and the way both teams are playing at the moment, they should be very confident of winning it.”

“It is not a situation I would have expected at the start of the season but this is the perfect game for Leicester – and a chance for them to put even more distance between them and one of their so-called rivals for the top four,” Keown added.

A win for Rodgers’ men would see them extend the gap between themselves and Arsenal to nine points which could well prove to be too much for the Gunners to make up despite a large part of the season still to be played. The Foxes could well make themselves the favourites for a top-four place too with Tottenham, Manchester United and Arsenal struggling this season.
