Liverpool fans say they are embarrassed by fellow supporters plans to march against Kenny Dalglish’s management ahead of the Everton game.
Two weekends ago Liverpool were savouring their first silverware in seven years.
OK it wasn’t the Champions League, but a Carling Cup win had to be a step forwards, right?
Well the feel-good factor garnered from their Wembley success has instantly evaporated with two successive losses to Arsenal and Sunderland, and now there is immense pressure on the club to win Tuesday’s Merseyside derby tomorrow night.
The backlash against Kenny Dalglish stems from the fact supporters feel he wasted millions of pounds on underperforming players such as Andy Carroll, Jordan Henderson, Charlie Adam and Stewart Downing.
Last night two Twitter accounts, ‘DalglishOUT’ and ‘SackKingKenny’ have stirred the mixed-feelings, calling for a ‘Kenny Out’ march ahead of the Everton clash.
Is it the work of rivals fans on a wind-up, it is possible, but it says everything about the dissatisfaction with Dalglish’s management that it is equally likely to be genuine.
Any march is likely to recruit dozens rather than hundreds of even thousands, but as the saying goes, ‘every revolution starts with one voice.’

Not all fans are converted, in fact, the accounts followers remain in triple figures, rather than thousands, and several Liverpool supporters have already voiced their dissent at the anti-Dalglish sentiment, as expressed by the below tweets:
