Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers failed to win against Villarreal in the Europa League.
Kenny Miller at Rangers
Rangers face Villarreal twice in the group stage of the Europa League this season.
While the Gers played out a 2-2 draw with the La Liga outfit in Spain back in September, the match at Ibrox last month ended in a goalless draw.
Rangers have failed to progress to the knockout rounds of the Europa League this season, but Celtic have.
Brendan Rodgers’s side could face Villarreal in the round of 32, and former Rangers and Celtic striker Miller believes that the Hoops can get the better of the Spanish club.
Miller said on BT Sport 3 on Thursday night (10:32pm, December 13, 2018): “If Celtic upped the level they showed against Leipzig, I think they can be more than enough competitive against Zagreb, Kiev, Villarreal.
“We have seen Villarreal home and away against Rangers. I think they can put up a fight against them as well.”

Exciting times
While it is hard to see Celtic go all the way in the Europa League and win the competition, the Hoops can certainly have confidence in getting past the round of 32.
A favourable draw will help for the Bhoys, and so will the fans for the home leg at Celtic Park.
