Rangers striker Kenny Miller has told the club’s official website that it was great to see Josh Windass back in action for the side.

The midfielder made the move to Ibrox this summer after agreeing on a pre-contract agreement earlier this year.

He has had a disrupted start to life in Scotland though, with an injury picked up against East Stirlingshire having seen him missing for the last several weeks.

He made his return over the weekend, though, starring in their 7-0 win over Irish side Linfield.

And Miller says it was great to see the youngster back in action, adding that the attributes he brings to the team were clear to see.

“It was great to see Josh Windass getting sixty minutes under his belt after five or six weeks with the injury,” he told the club’s official website.

“I think that we could see the attributes that he has got, his pace and how direct that he is and arriving into the box. I think he had a big part to play in how well we played.”

Windass will now be keen to build on this positive display and establish himself in the Rangers first team this season.

He had made a bright start to life with Mark Warburton’s side before his injury and certainly showed in this game that he can bring a lot to the team.

He faces a fight to get into the midfield, though, with that area of the team one in which Rangers are well stocked, to say the least.
