Rangers stopper McGregor has been banned for two matches.

Kenny Miller has been quoted by the Scottish Herald as saying that Allan McGregor’s run-in with Celtic defender Kristoffer Ajer in December’s Old Firm derby has contributed to the Rangers goalkeeper’s ban.
McGregor, 37, failed in an appeal against a two-match ban as compliance officer Claire Whyte decided to take retrospective action for his tackle on Aberdeen midfielder Lewis Ferguson.
The Gers goalkeeper got to a loose ball first and slid in, his studs catching Ferguson high on the knee. It is certainly not McGregor’s first controversial moment, as he kicked out at Ajer in the 1-0 Old Firm derby win.
He went unpunished for the incident against Celtic, but ex-Ibrox teammate Miller reckons the incidents at Ibrox in December have not helped his appeal against a ban this time round.
I thought the ban would remain, I can see what the defence would be but if it was against me I would be expecting some sort kind of action to be taken,” Miller said.
“Allan has been involved in a couple of situations like that this year, you think of the Ajer one against Celtic – he got away with that one a wee bit. Maybe this was the one in the FA’s eyes that they’ve had to uphold.”

Following the SFA’s decision to reject an appeal against McGregor’s ban, Rangers have decided to review their disciplinary system “as a matter of extreme urgency”, as per BBC Sport.
McGregor has been in excellent form for Rangers after returning to the club in the summer, and has even won the Scotland number one jersey back – conceding just 30 goals in 38 games and keeping 16 clean sheets.
Rangers take on St. Johnstone at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday, with Wes Foderingham expected to start.
