Miller, who had three different spells at Rangers, was impressed with the performance of Jack for Steven Gerrard’s side against Villarreal on Thursday evening.
The 26-year-old defensive midfielder started the Europa League Group G game against Villarreal at Ibrox and played for the entire 90 minutes.
The Scotland international, who joined Rangers on a free transfer in the summer of 2017 when Pedro Caixinha was the manager of the Ibrox club, worked hard, put in important tackles and challenges, and was a force in the middle of the park, especially in the second half.
Miller, who is now at Dundee, was impressed with the performance of Jack for Rangers against Villarreal.
“For me, I thought Ryan Jack was excellent tonight,” Miller said on BT Sport 3 on Thursday night (10:12pm, November 29, 2018). “He put a fantastic shift in the middle of the park.”

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Ibrox on Thursday evening, hosts Rangers had 35% of the possession, eight shots of which two were on target, and earned four corners, according to BBC Sport.
Rangers are third in Europa League Group G with six points from five matches, a point behind Villarreal and Rapid Vienna, who are first and second respectively in the standings.
