Callum McGregor played well for Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic on Thursday.
The former Rangers and Celtic striker was impressed with the performance of McGregor for the Hoops in their 2-1 victory over RB Leipzig at Celtic Park in the Europa League Group B on Thursday evening.
The 25-year-old central midfielder started the game and played for the entire 90 minutes, as Brendan Rodgers’s side won 2-1.
According to WhoScored.com, the Scotland international played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 71.1%, took 63 touches, attempted one dribble, and made four tackles, five interceptions and two clearances.
McGregor has scored one goal and provided three assists in 11 Scottish Premiership appearances for Celtic so far this season, according to Transfermarkt.com.
Celtic are going strong in the Scottish Premiership, can progress to the knockout rounds of the Europa League, and have booked their place in the final of the Scottish League Cup this season.
Former Rangers and Celtic striker Miller was impressed with the performance of McGregor and has spoken highly of the 25-year-old.
Miller said about McGregor on BT Sport 3 on Thursday evening (10:04pm, November 8, 2018): “We can’t talk highly enough. His positional tonight was absolutely outstanding. Anytime they were breaking, he was the first one there to confront the player.”
