Allan McGregor played well for Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers tonight.
Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor
McGregor played an important role in Rangers picking up a point from their Europa League game against Porto away from home in Portugal tonight.
The Scottish goalkeeper could not do anything with the goal that he conceded and did not have much to do until the very end when he made a superb double-save.
Former Rangers striker Miller was following the match, and he was impressed with the 37-year-old goalkeeper.
The Scotsman has also praised Ryan Jack, Glen Kamara and Steven Davis for their roles in the draw for Rangers.
Miller said about McGregor on BT Sport 3 (7:49pm, October 24, 2019): “He does it time and time again. He is pretty much just a spectator for long, long spells of the game, but when he is called upon, that’s when he is…”
Miller added: “Jack, Kamara, Davis were absolutely excellent.”

Encouraging result
Rangers were brilliant against Porto, and no one can argue that they did not deserve a point from the match.
Porto do have the better team, but on Thursday evening, Gerrard’s side stepped up their game.
The point gained in Portugal this evening will be massive in Rangers’ quest to progress to the knockout rounds of the Europa League this season.
