Celtic are slightly ahead of Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers in the Scottish Premiership standings.
Kenny Miller believes that Celtic are favourites to pip Rangers to a ninth successive Premiership title this season.
It looks set to be the closest title race for many years in Scotland and Celtic, right now, have a very slight edge.
Neil Lennon’s side sit at the summit on goal difference ahead of Steven Gerrard’s Rangers, who were top a couple of weeks ago.
The Hoops scored four first-half goals at Aberdeen this past weekend, and Miller feels that when Celtic are in top gear, few can challenge them.
“I would say they are favourites. I would definitely say they are favourites and rightly so,” Miller, who had a few stints at Rangers and one at Parkhead, told BBC Sportsound.
“When Celtic click into gear they can do that to anybody. We have seen it domestically for a number of years now and even in European games – they can hurt very very good European teams when they click into gear.”
Having won every title since 2012, Celtic definitely have the pedigree – not to mention the players – to move within one crown of 10-in-a-row come May.
But Gerrard has Rangers looking as sharp as they have done for many, many years and even Bhoys fans will know they’re in a fight this time around.
Lennon’s troops are home to St Mirren tomorrow, while the Gers visit Ross County.
