Kenny Jackett wants Jamal Lowe stay amid Leeds, West Brom stay

Leeds United, West Bromwich Albion and Middlesbrough are among the clubs reportedly interested in Portsmouth’s Jamal Lowe.

Portsmouth manager Kenny Jackett has told Portsmouth.co.uk that he wants to keep Jamal Lowe at the club amid reported interest in Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion.

According to The Daily Star, Championship trio Leeds, West Brom and Middlesbrough are interested in signing the 24-year-old winger.

Jackett told Portsmouth.co.uk: “I would like to keep Jamal.”

Stepping up

Portsmouth are a big club, but they are in League One at the moment, while Leeds, West Brom and Middlesbrough all will be aiming to finish in the top six of the Championship next season.

Lowe has done well during his time at Pompey so far in his career, and the winger can still get better, given that he is 24 years of age.

The former Barnet winger has progressed well in recent years, and he is ready to step up to the Championship and turn out for Leeds, West Brom or Middlesbrough.

According to Transfermarkt.com, the winger made 45 appearances in League One for Portsmouth last season, scoring 15 goals and providing nine assists in the process.
