The former Championship boss believes that Leeds could sneak into the top six.

Leeds United lost to Derby County yesterday 1-0, but it was a game in which they would have felt aggrieved to get no points.
Leeds performed well and could have easily picked up a draw or even a win from the game.
The result will have disappointed the Leeds boss, but the Yorkshire club have been in great form recently.

This loss was only their second in seven games, winning the other five. That form has seen Leeds rise into the top-half of the table and they are currently occupying 13th after the result yesterday.
One former Championship manager feels that Leeds can push on and make the top six by the end of the season.
Kenny Jackett, who left Wolves in the summer, was speaking on Channel 5’s The Championship goal show last night (15/10/2016).
Leeds United’s players look dejected at the end of match
He made it clear that he feels Leeds have a chance of making the play-offs:
“An excellent performance (from Leeds) and he (Monk) has done fantastically well there after a tough first couple of games of the season.
“He’s got them on track, they look a good side, and they are one of the teams that could come from mid-table and get into the top six. They look capable of it.”

Leeds fans are certainly optimistic that they can have a surge again this season and make their way into the play-offs come the end of the campaign.
But Leeds fans also know just how unpredictable life can be at Elland Road and won’t be getting too excited about play-off hopes just yet.
