Celtic are already four points clear of their nearest rivals in the Scottish Premiership.
Kenny Dalglish has told the Glasgow Evening Times that Brendan Rodgers has done enough to already be considered a success at Celtic.
Dalglish feels that Celtic have already won the Scottish Premiership, and the Bhoys’ improvement in Europe has also been eye catching.
Celtic have made it into the Champions League group stages this term, and their performance against Manchester City in their most recent European match was highly impressive.
Celtic picked up a 3-3 draw with City, with their high pressing approaching winning them a number of plaudits.
And Dalglish said: “Without being complacent, the thing’s over. They beat Rangers 5-1, they’ve beaten Aberdeen as well. They are going to win the league, that’s not in doubt. That’s why Brendan was up against it because they’re expected to win the league and the two cups.
“The big test for him was to get to the Champions League and he did it. So you can say he’s already been a success.”
Celtic struggled in Europe under Ronny Deila, and they did not win a match in the Europa League last season.
The Bhoys now appear to be locked in a battle with Borussia Monchengladbach to claim third spot in their Champions League group this time around.
Domestically, Celtic are currently four points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table – and they have a game in hand over all of their title rivals.
