Celtic legend Kenny Dalglish wrote on his Instagram story that Steven Gerrard has done a ‘fantastic job’ at Rangers.
The former striker also made it clear that there is ‘more to come’ from the Liverpool favourite and it’s ‘no surprise’ that Gerrard has been ‘successful’.
It has been the season of dreams for those associated with Rangers and one full of nightmares if you are wearing the colours of Celtic.
The Bhoys started the campaign hoping to win a historic ten Premiership titles in a row, but Gerrard and his Rangers players made sure that wasn’t going to happen.
Nonetheless, during a Q/A on his Instagram account, Dalglish was asked this question from a follower: ‘As a Celtic man, how do you honestly feel about Steven Gerrard’s time at Rangers’.
King Kenny responded by saying: ‘Steven’s success at Rangers has been great for Steven.
“He’s done a fantastic job. It’s no surprise to me that he’s been successful in management and I think he’s got more to come.”
That’s one Scottish Premiership title in the bag for Gerrard at Rangers and his next aim will be to build on this.
Understandably, there has been a lot of talk about Gerrard becoming Liverpool’s next manager.
And whilst that won’t happen yet, it does seem as though in five years time, the Englishman might just be walking that touchline at Anfield.
