Jurgen Klopp will now be hoping to add the Premier League trophy to Liverpool’s cabinet after winning the Champions League this season.

Kenny Dalglish has shared that when Jurgen Klopp was first appointed Liverpool manager he predicted back then that it was going to a ‘rollercoaster’ as he expressed his delight at the German winning his first trophy at the club.
The Anfield legend stated that Klopp, who moved to Merseyside in 2015 after Brendan Rodgers was sacked, has been a ‘breath of fresh air’.
Earlier this month, Liverpool lifted their sixth European crown when they beat Mauricio Pochettino’s side in the Champions League final in Madrid.
King Kenny backed the current Liverpool side to go on and prove their worth even further as he praised the influence Klopp has had on the club.
“Now that this current Liverpool side have all had a taste of that wonderful feeling, of winning such an outstanding prize, they will want it again and again – just as we all did 40 years ago,” Dalglish told the Sunday Post. “And so will the manager.
“When Jurgen Klopp was appointed, I said that we should all strap ourselves in because it was going to be a rollercoaster ride. Well, it certainly has been. I’m delighted for him that he has won his first trophy with Liverpool. He has revitalised this brilliant football club and has been a breath of fresh air.
“I’ve never agreed with that old saying that “it’s the taking part that counts. If that’s your philosophy, then you are at the wrong football club. It’s the winning that counts. That’s what we believe at Liverpool.”

The Liverpool supporters will no doubt be delighted that they have won their first trophy under Klopp and that they have proven to be the best in Europe this season.
But the ultimate for the Anfield supporters is winning the Premier League title. However, a relentless train in Manchester City is standing in their way of glory.
Even with 97 points recorded, Liverpool weren’t able to dethrone Pep Guardiola’s side as they can do nothing more than continue what they produced this season for the next campaign.
