Kenny Dalglish is unhappy with Celtic’s Leigh Griffiths and anyone else who doesn’t want to play for their country.

Kenny Dalglish has told The Sunday Post that he doesn’t ‘like talking about’ players who have turned their back on Scotland, after Celtic hitman Leigh Griffiths made himself unavailable for selection last month.
The Celtic striker withdrew from Alex McLeish’s last squad and cited fitness concerns, before being warned by the Scotland manager that he was gambling with his international future.
In a further twist, the 28-year-old then ‘liked’ a derogatory tweet about McLeish.
Matt Ritchie and Robert Snodgrass were not included in the Scot’s latest squad for upcoming Nations League games, while James McArthur has since announced his retirement from the international fold.
And the Liverpool icon told The Sunday Post that he is growing tired of discussing those who don’t want to be involved for their country.
“We had the saga of Leigh Griffiths and his decision to withdraw from the national squad. Personally, I don’t get why you should be allowed to pick and choose when you play for your country. It leaves me feeling cold.
But it seems to be the modern way now, and it is happening all over the world. However, the Scottish lads run the risk of being left out for good.
“If the players in the squad do the business, then there could be no way back for those who have opted out. I actually don’t like talking about the guys who are NOT involved. At this stage, they are irrelevant.”
In Griffiths’s defence, he was legitimately injured when he pulled out of the squad last month.
The Celtic star, who earns £18,000 per week in Glasgow [Daily Star], hasn’t kicked a ball for the Hoops since October 7, illustrating that he is indeed sidelined.
