There has been recent speculation about Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers’s future at Celtic Park.
Rodgers has been in charge of Celtic since the summer of 2016 when he succeeded Ronny Deila at Celtic Park.
The former Liverpool and Swansea City manager has been a huge success at Celtic and is hugely popular among the fans.
Under Rodgers, the Glasgow giants have won the Scottish Premiership title with ease, progressed to the group stage of the Champions League for two seasons in a row, and have gone 67 games unbeaten in Scotland.
There has been speculation about the future of the former Liverpool boss, with The Sunday Post recently claiming that West Ham United and Swansea City have had approaches for him turned down.
Celtic legend Dalglish has stated that talks about Rodgers leaving the Hoops for a challenge in England is “hugely disappointing and disrespectful”.
Dalglish wrote in The Sunday Post (December 4, 2017) while discussing Rodgers’s success at Celtic: “This has led to many people in the game, on both sides of the border, speculating that Brendan may want to leave and will be targeted by ‘bigger clubs’ down south.
“I think talk such as that is hugely disappointing and disrespectful. I’ve even heard people say that Brendan may be fed up with the lack of competition in Scotland, given the fact that they take three points in almost every game.
“Listen, I’ve never known any manager to moan about winning every week. Why is it that when a manager is doing well, there is talk that he will be ready to move on?”
Celtic will take on Anderlecht at Celtic Park in the Champions League this evening and are likely to drop to the round-of-32 in the Europa League this season.
