Celtic’s Champions League fate hangs in the balance.
Speaking to The Sunday Post, Kenny Dalglish has called on Leigh Griffiths to produce a “moment of magic” for Celtic if he is fit to start in Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Rosenborg.
Brendan Rodgers’s side travel to Norway this week with their group-stage fate hanging in the balance after a 0-0 draw in the first leg at Parkhead.

Celtic were forced to play Tom Rogic up front that day, with Griffiths – who had a one-match ban anyway – and Moussa Dembele sidelined with injuries.
Last season’s clashes with Barcelona and Manchester City has whet Celtic’s appetite for the group stage of Europe’s elite competition again and losing to Rosenborg, in the penultimate qualifying round, would be a big blow for the Hoops fans.
And Dalglish has issued a rallying call to the Scotland international to fire his side one step closer to the Champions League proper.
“He is a talented goalscorer and the return leg in Trondheim is his time to stand up and produce a moment of magic,” he told The Sunday Post.
“I believe, however, he is carrying a knock and is not 100% certain to be available for selection. If he is not in the team, then Celtic will need to rely heavily on set-pieces. They will need to make the most of corner kicks and free-kicks in the final third of the pitch.
“The height and power they have in the team will need to be utilised.”
