Glasgow Rangers have brought four players in on loan during the January transfer window.

Kenny Dalglish has told The Sunday Post that he believes that Rangers have done good business bringing Jason Cummings, Jamie Murphy and Russell Murphy in on loan, but admitted that he would have to reserve judgement on Sean Goss for the time-being.
The Gers have certainly been busy during the January transfer window, landing the four players on loan deals until the end of the season, and Graeme Murty may perhaps be hoping that they are not the only players to arrive through the Ibrox door before the deadline in 10 days.

It certainly appears that the Light Blues have made some smart moves during this window, and Dalglish praised the work that Rangers have done – but he conceded that he is currently unsure whether all four men will be a success at Ibrox.
“I’m of the opinion that Jason Cummings, Russell Martin and Jamie Murphy will do well,” he told The Sunday Post. “Cummings performed well for Hibernian for two years and showed his ability over a period of time.”
“Martin is a seasoned campaigner and I recall him playing well for Scotland on a number of occasions. He will bring leadership on and off the park, as he is a respected professional. He will slot in nicely, whether it’s at right-back or at the heart of the defence,” he went on to add.

“Murphy has been a Rangers supporter all his days and will be determined to make this move a success. He has a nice left foot on him and has the ability to score goals and provide assists.
“Sean Goss has signed from QPR and we will need to reserve judgment on that one until we see him in action.”
Goss is certainly the wildcard of the quartet having made just a handful of first-team appearances during his professional career, especially as he comes into an area of the pitch where Rangers boast a lot of quality with the likes of Ross McCrorie, Ryan Jack and Graham Dorrans – when he is fit – vying for a spot in the team.
Meanwhile, it is fair to say, as Dalglish suggests, that Rangers have improved their options in defence, on the wing and up front by landing Martin, Murphy and Cummings respectively, and Murty will be hoping that the new group gel together well as there is the potential for the current squad and backroom team to be the foundations from which they build next season.
