Celtic are in the market for a whole host of defensive options this summer with PEC Zwolle ace Kenneth Paal believed to be on the radar.
It seems like a new defender is being linked with Celtic every other day at the moment.
We’ve seen Marko Vuskovic, Ko Itakura and Aaron Hickey all linked with the club in recent days, whilst Osaze Urhoghide has joined from Sheffield Wednesday.
With Diego Laxalt and Jonjoe Kenny gone following the expiration of their loan deals, full backs on both sides are needed.
De Stentor in the Netherlands now suggest that Celtic want to sign PEC Zwolle ace Paal. Celtic wouldn’t be alone though, with Bordeaux, Saint-Etienne and Barnsley all keen too.
They have though asked Paal directly about a move to Celtic given that the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Pierre van Hooijdonk and Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink have all flown the flag for the Netherlands at Parkhead.

Paal suggested that Celtic is a ‘big club’ and he’s happy to hear their interest, believing that it shows how well he is playing.
“Yes, such a big club, with such a history, that’s always nice to hear,” said Paal. “That just shows that you’re doing a good job,” he added.
The 24-year-old was previously on the books of PSV, but has really kicked on at PEC Zwolle, showing the pace to get up and down the left flank.
A natural left footer, Paal could be a bargain addition for Celtic – and it’s clear that he’s keen on the move.
