Roofe and Bamford are in direct competition to start for Leeds

Kemar Roofe has teased Leeds United teammate Patrick Bamford on Instagram over his persistent injury woes – claiming the latter struggled with his hamstring in training on Tuesday.
Bamford, 25, managed just his ninth Leeds appearance since joining the club from Middlesbrough in the summer, as he came off the bench to score a consolation in Leeds’ 3-1 loss to Norwich City.
The former Chelsea striker suffered an injury to his posterior cruciate ligament in an Under-23 match for the Whites, keeping him sidelined until January. Since then, Bamford has suffered niggles to his hamstring.
Roofe, meanwhile, has been in excellent form – scoring 14 goals in 24 Championship appearances. He posted a video on Instagram that saw him dancing with his dog, captioning: “Iggy helping me get over Saturday’s result.”
Leeds were blown away in the top-of-the-table clash against Norwich, going 3-0 down as Mario Vrancic and Emi Buendia stole the show for Daniel Farke’s side – who now sit in first place after the win.
Spirits still remain high among the Leeds players though. Bamford looked to tease Roofe over his dance moves, commenting “WD40 needed”, but it was Roofe’s response that will worry Leeds fans.
Indeed, Leeds’ number seven replied to Bamford with: “Yeah, like your hammy in training today,” just days after Bamford has returned from his latest hamstring niggle to play against Norwich.
Leeds face Middlesbrough on Saturday – Bamford’s former team and fans will be hoping he is fit to face Tony Pulis’ side.
