Leeds United consolidated their fifth position in the Championship with a 4-1 win over Preston North End.
Leeds United forward Kemar Roofe has told BBC Radio Leeds that it was the Whites’ second goal in their win over Preston North End that had left the squad talking.
Garry Monk’s men maintained their position in fifth in the Championship table with a hugely impressive 4-1 win over the Lilywhites at Deepdale.
And while the squad would have been delighted with the three points as a whole, it appears that it was Hadi Sacko’s strike that proved a talking point amongst the squad.

After a ball was played into Sacko – who was standing just inside the Preston half – from the defence, the winger turned and drove towards the edge of the penalty area while also playing a forward pass into Roofe.
As Sacko approached the area, Roofe played a brilliant ball back across that allowed the Frenchman an opening after an excellent first touch. He duly lifted the ball into the roof of the net to double Leeds’ lead.
And Roofe explained how the team had discussing the build-up to the goal after the victory.
“Yeah, it was good. Everyone is saying it was a good goal,” he told BBC Radio Leeds.
“I can’t wait to watch it back. It was good to be involved in as well, it was a good team goal.”

After a couple of recent victories that had seen Leeds win with slightly underwhelming performances, the supporters will surely be excited about seeing such an excellent goal and brilliant display as a whole.
Preston were a team that could have moved to within three points of the Whites with a victory so it would not have been a surprise if the game had been much closer.
However, Leeds shut the door and arguably showed some of the ruthlessness they will need if they hope to remain in top six contention over the coming months.
