Pawel Cibicki is yet to make his Leeds United debut in the Championship.

There can’t be a lot to smile about if you’re Pawel Cibicki, but the forgotten Leeds United signing clearly found one reason to be cheerful in training on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old has not kicked a ball for Leeds since the League Cup defeat at Leicester City on October 24 and his absence since then continues to baffle fans of the Elland Road club.
Cibicki, a £1.5 million signing, has not made his Championship debut for the Whites yet and hasn’t even been named in Thomas Christiansen’s matchday squad for a league game in close to two months.
But the former Malmo man looked in good spirits nonetheless yesterday as team-mate Kemar Roofe shared a rare photo of the Swede.
Leeds were paired with Newport County in the third round of the FA Cup and it really isn’t unthinkable to believe that the United fans won’t see him again until the trip to Rodney Parade on January 6 – and even then it’s not a given.
Christiansen’s side have six more Championship games before then and, for whatever reason, it doesn’t seem likely that the Spanish head coach will use him at all during the festive period.
