Leeds United attacker Kemar Roofe has reflected on the team’s loss to Leicester City.
Roofe’s Leeds were beaten 3-1 at the King Power Stadium as Leicester’s Premier League class proved too strong.
Leeds had made 10 changes to the team which started against Bristol City at the weekend.
Roofe said he was depressed to have lost the game, but also inspired by playing against a Premier League club.
Leeds return to focusing on the Championship, where they are hoping to earn promotion to the Premier League.
They are currently in fourth place and have a tough game against Sheffield United on Friday night.
If the game against Leicester helps lift them, regardless of result, then their cup run will have been worth it.
Now they have no more distractions from cup competitions until January, which can be a positive for them.
