Leeds United forward Kemar Roofe has been sidelined of late, but fans can begin to get excited about his potential return to Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

The Whites drew 1-1 at home with Brentford on Saturday, as Pontus Jansson cancelled out a controversial Neal Maupay penalty to keep the Whites right in the mix at the top of the Championship table.

Bielsa has kept Leeds ticking over even in light of some major injury woes, as Patrick Bamford, Gaetano Berardi, Pablo Hernandez and Roofe have all been ruled out of late.

Roofe’s absence was confirmed just days after Bamford was ruled out for four months, and whilst Tyler Roberts has fared well with three goals in five outings, Bielsa will be keen to get Roofe back into his side.

The former Oxford United man is enjoying his finest run of form yet as a Leeds player, as the 25-year-old has hit four goals and two assists in just six outings, allegedly attracting interest from elsewhere.

Roofe’s displays under Bielsa have finally turned him into a fan favourite more than two years since his arrival, and that has resulted in many wanting his return to first-team football sooner rather than later.

With Roofe reflecting on the draw against Brentford on Instagram, one Leeds fan asked Roofe when he will be back in action, and the forward responded by declaring he will definitely be back to face Blackburn in Leeds’ first game after the international break against Blackburn Rovers on October 20th – a welcome boost for the Whites.
