Leeds United loanee Jordan Botaka is incredibly skilful, according to Kemar Roofe.
Leeds United’s Kemar Roofe in action
Speaking during an exclusive interview with LUTV, Whites star Kemar Roofe named the most skilful teammate he has witnessed during his time at Elland Road, and he is not even currently at the club…for the rest of the season at least.
The 24-year-old moved to the West Yorkshire outfit from Oxford United in the summer of 2016, for a fee believed to be in the region of £3 million, and has impressed during his debut season for Garry Monk’s side, making 37 appearances in all competitions thus far.
Roofe was asked by LUTV who is the most skilful player in the Leeds squad, and he surprisingly named a player who isn’t even part of The Whites setup this season:
“I would have said, but he’s not here now, at the start of the season, Botaka. Every time he gets the ball he wants to do a trick, and he’s got some good tricks as well. But now, I’d probably say Pablo (Hernandez), just because he always nutmegs everybody, he’s got good technique and composure on the ball as well, so it’s hard to take the ball off him.”
Leeds United’s Jordan Botaka is spending the season on loan with Charlton
Botaka joined Charlton Athletic on loan in the summer, but has failed to make much of an impact thus far, scoring just one goal in 21 appearances in all competitions for the Addicks.
And with Leeds performing to such high standards this season, it will be incredibly hard for the 23-year-old to establish himself at Elland Road, upon his return to the club at the end of this season.
