Kemar Roofe is one of Leeds United’s best players this season.

Early days, but Kemar Roofe has set himself up for his best season at Leeds United so far.
The Leeds striker has netted four goals in six games this season, en route to winning the Championship’s Player of the Month award for August.
It’s richly deserved and if the Marcelo Bielsa effect is evident in one player, it is the 25-year-old.
Roofe looks to be a totally different animal for the Whites this season, but the big question is whether he can keep it up.
The former Oxford United star, a £3 million signing in 2016, has been among the goals before. Last season, he scored five goals in eight Championship outings, in December and January.
But Roofe – who missed the entire month of March through injury – only managed to score three more that season.
Roofe can be absolutely lethal, as he has proven this season, but he can also be very inconsistent and that’s why the month of September should offer a more accurate insight into his perceived transformation.
Leeds have some difficult games on the horizon – including Millwall and Sheffield Wednesday away – but picking up where he left off last month would indicate that he is indeed a different player under the Argentine coach.
At the moment, it’s too early to know whether this purple patch is a clear sign that Bielsa has improved him, or just a flurry of goals that preced a dry spell, like last season.
