Leeds United are one of the Championship’s most exciting sides this season and there’s no lack of pace in Thomas Christiansen’s squad.

You probably don’t need too many guesses to figure out the quickest player in Leeds United’s squad.

Though if only Hadi Sacko’s brain was as rapid as his feet, Thomas Christiansen would have a fearsome talent on his hands.

The 23-year-old winger returned to Elland Road this summer on a permanent deal after spending last season on loan from Sporting Lisbon. However, Sacko has made just two substitute appearances in the Championship in 2017/18, totalling 33 minutes, and appears to have it all to do to win over his manager.

While Sacko’s end product was questioned almost on game-by-game basis last season, there is at least one attribute he does bring to the table.

Because, in the opinion of attacker Kemar Roofe, Vurnon Anita is the only player who could possibly rival Hadi ‘roadrunner’ Sacko in a straight foot race.

“Hadi”, Roofe told LUTV when asked to name the fastest player at Leeds. “And I might throw in Vurnon when he has got two ankles.”

Anita has indeed spent time on the sidelines with injury this season but has looked a solid addition for Leeds since arriving from Newcastle United on a free transfer in the summer.

The versatile Dutchman was a regular at defensive midfield or right-back during his time with The Magpies but has filled in to good effect on the left since moving to Elland Road, taking up the position he occupied during his formative years at Ajax.

Sacko on the right versus Anita on the left – that is a battle we want to see.
