Kemar Roofe was the hero for Leeds United yet again, and you wonder what Garry Monk makes of his form.

Kemar Roofe has done it again for Leeds United.
Three days after his last-minute winner gave Leeds a 3-2 victory at Aston Villa, Roofe pulled yet another rabbit out of the hat on Boxing Day.
The Whites looked set to have their six-match winning streak ended by a Blackburn Rovers side who led 2-1 going into stoppage time during today’s clash at Elland Road.
But the 25-year-old netted twice at the very death to seal a stunning come-from-behind victory for top-of-the-table Leeds.
Roofe now has 13 Championship goals this season (only two players have more) and you wonder what a certain Garry Monk is making of his former player’s form.
It was Monk who spent a hefty £3 million [Yorkshire Evening Post] on bringing the former League Two hitman in during the summer of 2016, but it’s fair to say that Roofe didn’t have a good first season.
He netted three times in 42 Championship outings, probably because Monk was playing him on the left-hand side of attack for much of the 2016-17 campaign.
Considering he is now one of the best strikers in the division, and a truly massive player for United, it’s a tad embarrassing for the now-Birmingham City boss that he never played him up front, in his natural position.
It must be said that Monk had a red-hot Chris Wood, who scored 30 goals that season. He couldn’t justify playing Roofe ahead of him, but could Leeds – who finished one place adrift of a playoff spot that season – have benefited from playing both in a two-pronged attack?
We’ll never know, but what we do know is that Roofe is an exceptionally-talented striker and Monk never gave him a single chance in that position. Eighteen months on from his departure in West Yorkshire, it looks a huge mistake.
