The Whites beat Wolves on Saturday thanks to a second-half winner credited to Roofe.
Leeds United forward Kemar Roofe has admitted that he is pleased to be showing supporters what he can do, but insisted that he did not get the final touch for Saturday’s winning goal, as quoted by the club’s official Twitter account.
The Whites beat struggling Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-0 on Saturday at Molineux thanks to a 70th-minute winner to record a sixth victory in the league this season.
That goal has been credited to summer signing Roofe, who appeared to slide home Hadi Sacko’s cross from close range in the game’s decisive moment.

The 23-year-old joined Leeds from Oxford United in the summer transfer window and has found himself featuring regularly under Garry Monk.
He admitted that he is delighted to be starring for the Whites, but dismissed any credit he has been given for the match-winner, insisting that the covering Wolves defender was the man who got the final touch.
Roofe said, as quoted by Leeds’ official Twitter account: “We are feeling great. It is an amazing feeling to get the win, especially away from home.

“I didn’t get the final touch, it was an own goal. If his foot wasn’t there I am scoring it.
“I’m feeling really good and it is great to show people what I can do. The fans have made the long trip and it is great to be able to send them home happy.”
The latest victory lifts Leeds up to 10th in the table and to within three points of the final play-off spot as Monk looks to be the man to finally lead the Yorkshire club back into the top six.
