After a goalless first half, James Chester put the Villans in the lead in the 73rd minute, and Scott Hogan doubled the advantage six minutes before the full-time whistle.
Villa CEO Wyness has thanked the fans on Twitter for their support to the team, while club chairman Tony Xia has revelled in the win.
