Steve Bruce is coming under severe pressure as Aston Villa manager.

Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce during the Sky Bet Championship match between Aston Villa and Cardiff City at Villa Park on November 26, 2016 in Birmingham, England.

Aston Villa CEO Keith Wyness has put a message on social media suggesting that everyone at the club is working hard to put things right.

Villa’s poor run of form continued on Boxing Day, after they were beaten 2-1 by Brentford.

The claret and blues have now failed to win any of their last five matches, and they have slipped out of the play off places.

Villa boss Steve Bruce is coming under increasing pressure, and many supporters of the Midlands club were urging Wyness to put an end to the experienced boss’s time at the helm on social media.

Villa have so far been patient with Bruce, but if their poor run of form continues, then the pressure will continue to build.

Villa had moved into a strong position recently, but a series of injuries have derailed their season.

Bruce’s side are now fighting to keep pace with the top six, with their next match coming against fellow promotion hopefuls Middlesbrough on Saturday.
