Aston Villa signed Tyrone Mings on loan from Bournemouth in the January transfer window.

Villa signed Mings on loan from Premier League club Bournemouth in the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old defender will be at Villa Park until the end of the season and will hope to guide Dean Smith’s side into the Championship playoffs.
Former Republic of Ireland international midfielder Andrews now works as a pundit for Sky Sports, and he admitted his doubts over Mings due to his injury record.
Andrews said about Mings on Sky Sports Main Event last Friday evening (7:15pm, February 8, 2019): “Tyrone Mings has everything you would want in a player, but he has played that little football, it’s quite alarming, over the last three-and-a-half years.”

Risky signing for Aston Villa?
Mings – who earns £715,000 per year as salary, according to Spotrac.com – is a very good defender, and while it is true that the former Ipswich Town star has not played too much football for the past three or so years, it must be acknowledged that he is now fully fit.
It could take the defender a while to get back to the form he was in when he was at Ipswich, but there is no doubt that the 25-year-old was needed at Villa due to their defensive issues this season.
