Aston Villa boss Dean Smith was not totally complimentary about Leeds United yesterday.
Smith complained about Leeds making a number of tactical fouls which were not clamped down on during the match.
The Villa boss felt that Leeds were very clever in their off the ball work, as they took out a number of his players.
“There were, also, a lot of tactical fouls out there today,” Smith said. “Leeds are a good team, don’t get me wrong, but when they lose the ball and you get the other side of their press, they make a lot of tactical fouls and there weren’t many cautions today.”
But Andrews felt that Smith was wrong in his analysis, as he did not see the Whites’ approach as being overly physical.
He said: “Not quite. We hear this a lot about Manchester City. I didn’t see lots of it. Alan Hutton could have given away two penalty kicks.”
Smith’s comments were likely to have been borne out of frustration, as Villa slipped up yesterday.
The clarets and blues raced into a 2-0 lead in the contest, but they just could not see off Leeds.
The Whites ended up turning the match around, with Kemar Roofe winning the game in the last minute to leave Villa crestfallen.
Smith’s side have now slipped down to 11th in the Championship table, and are five points away from the play offs.
