Sky Sports pundit Keith Andrews has brutally stated that Liverpool loanee Harry Wilson ‘needs to get to the level’ of Nottingham Forest winger Joe Lolley.

The duo were in action on Monday night as Wilson’s Derby County suffered a 1-0 defeat against their bitter rivals, with Lolley impressing during the game.

Versatile attacker Wilson was substituted by manager Frank Lampard midway through second half-half as he failed to have an impact in the game.

Speaking to Sky Sports Football’s coverage of Forest v Derby (25/02/2019 at 10:00 pm), former midfielder Andrews shared his honest thoughts on the highly-rated youngster when comparing him with Lolley.

“I look at Harry Wilson and he has got a lot of plaudits this year,” Andrews told Sky Sports Football. “I think he needs to get to this level [Joe Lolley’s level]. And what I mean by that is out of possession. The ugly side of the game.

“When your team are under pressure. Doing that side of it. Look, we have seen Wilson and what he has produced this year and obviously, Lolley has a few years more under his belt.”

Wilson, who is left-footed, has especially been known for his ability to produce the goods during dead ball situations as he has scored a number of high-quality free-kicks.

Over the course of the season, the Reds academy product has played 33 games in all competitions, scoring 12 goals for his club and supplying his teammates with four assists [transfermarkt].

Nonetheless, Wilson, who is on a season-long loan from Anfield, will be hoping to help Lampard secure a playoff spot at the end of the season and potential promotion to the Premier League.
