Axel Tuanzebe missed out on playing for Dean Smith’s Aston Villa side yesterday.

Villa were beaten 3-2 by Leeds at Villa Park on Sunday, with Smith’s side repeatedly getting exposed defensively.
Villa raced into a 2-0 lead in the contest, but they never looked comfortable, and were made to pay in the final minute when Kemar Roofe finished magnificently.
And Andrews felt that Villa may have fared better if Tuanzebe had been available.
“Tuanzebe was miss today and I’m amazed I’m saying that,” Andrews said. “Two months ago I wasn’t sure, but he has been magnificent in recent weeks and it was a big ask for Bree.”
Smith admitted when he took over at Villa that the squad was top heavy, and Villa’s defensive display yesterday showed the need for additions in January.

The Villans are expected to bring in at least one more defender next month, as they try and tighten up at the back.
In Tuanzebe’s absence, Villa were forced to line up with James Bree at centre-back, and the youngster struggled out of position.
Tuanzebe could still be out for weeks yet, as he has badly damaged his foot.
