Westwood has urged the Wednesday fans to stick together and has also explained the incident in which he exchanged words with one supporter after the match against Derby County at the weekend.
The Owls suffered a 2-0 defeat to Derby away from home at the Pride Park Stadium in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Wednesday played almost all of the match with 10 men due to the dismissal of Glenn Loovens as early as the fourth minute.
Matej Vydra and Bradley Johnson scored the goals for Derby, who remain on track for a top-six finish in the Championship this season.
After the match, Wednesday goalkeeper Westwood exchanged words with an Owls fan.
