The Aston Villa striker recently put pen to paper on a new deal.

Aston Villa’s season is looking up after a disappointing start, but arguably the most important news of all is the announcement that Keinan Davis has signed a new long-term contract at the club.
Unsurprisingly linked with some top clubs following his electric start to Villa’s current campaign, Davis has now sough to quieten the clamour – at least for a while – by agreeing a deal that will keep him at the club until at least 2020.

Villa have some top youngsters coming through the ranks right now and Davis has the attributes to be the cream of the crop. However Steve Bruce’s side would have feared losing the teenager for a cut-price fee had he not committed his future to the Villans.
Things are looking up for Bruce’s men and they should maintain their promotion push between now and May, with Davis clearly buying into the club’s next phase and hoping to play a major role for years to come.

While putting pen to paper will not stop every rumour, Villa now hold all the cards when it comes to Davis’s future and it is refreshing to see a talented youngster refuse to let the initial hype go to his head, instead focusing on the challenge at hand.
Only time will tell just how important this news is for Villa, but on early evidence it seems the club have an absolute gem at their disposal and long may that be so.
