Keinan Davis returned to Aston Villa’s side at the weekend more than two months after his previous appearance.

A number of Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to respond to Keinan Davis’ message after the forward made his return to Dean Smith’s side in the weekend win against Middlesbrough.
It has been a difficult campaign for Davis. Ahead of the weekend, he had only managed to make one appearance for the first-team this term, while he was still awaiting the chance to help aid the Villans’ promotion push in the Championship.
But he got that first league appearance of the season under his belt as he came on for the final 15 minutes at home to Boro on Saturday. And he certainly made up for lost time.
After a lovely piece of skill on the edge of the box, Davis’ stinging effort was spilled by Darren Randolph, leaving Albert Adomah with the simple task of tapping the ball into the back of the net.

With Villa in such exceptional form, they will be the team that many of the promotion-chasing sides in the Championship will be worried about. And with players such as Davis coming back into the fold at this stage of the season, it should perhaps surprise few if they go on and better last season’s finish.
And following the game, the 21-year-old took to social media to comment on making his return and send a message to the supporters, who subsequently lauded the academy graduate in response.

Here is Davis’ tweet as well as some of the replies…
